Nobody missed the fall. They missed the eleven weeks before it.

Home Safe Home learns what an ordinary week looks like in her home — the kettle, the doors, the nights — and a named person telephones when it changes.

What decline looks like

  • ROUTINEA stopped routine.
  • FRIDGEA fridge that stays shut until evening.
  • NIGHTSThree broken nights in a row.
  • KETTLEA kettle that boils at ten instead of seven.

These arrive weeks before the ambulance does.

This is the morning somebody phoned her.

The pendant asks a lot of her.

She has to wear it

Most pendants live in a drawer, or on the bathroom shelf, precisely because wearing one announces something she isn’t ready to announce.

She has to press it

It asks a frightened person, possibly on the floor, to make a decision and act on it. That is a lot to ask of anyone.

It only speaks afterwards

A button knows nothing about the eleven quiet weeks before the fall. It waits for the worst day, then reports it.

The answer is not a different device.
It is a different relationship.

Three layers, in order.

The only numbered list on this page, because it is genuinely a sequence.

  1. 01

    Sensors notice

Eight to ten ambient sensors learn her ordinary week — kettle, fridge, bed, doors, room to room. Nothing worn, nothing to charge.

  2. 02

    People call

When the pattern breaks, a named agent telephones her. Every week, pattern or not, the same agent calls for ten minutes at the same hour.

  3. 03

    Families see

Live status, weekly trends, and the note the agent wrote after the call. A certified alarm centre handles genuine emergencies, day and night.

Eight sensors, and not one of them watches her.

A one-bedroom flat, as Home Safe Home sees it. Movement, doors and appliances only.

  1. 1Kettle plug the single best “she’s up and she’s fine”
  2. 2Fridge door eating, and roughly when
  3. 3Bed sensor in bed, out of bed, broken nights
  4. 4Bedroom motion mornings starting on time
  5. 5Hall motion room-to-room movement, day and night
  6. 6Bathroom motion night visits, and how many
  7. 7Front door contact out to the shops, back safely
  8. 8Living room motion afternoons in the chair, or not

The weekly call

Tuesday at eleven, with Margaret.

Ten minutes, every week, the same voice, in her own language. Not a check-up. A conversation that happens to notice things.

She tells Margaret things she wouldn’t want to worry her daughter with.
  1. 0:00She answers on the second ring. She knows it’s Tuesday.
  2. 0:40The knee, the weather, whether her son rang on Sunday.
  3. 6:30Margaret notices she mentions the stairs twice, lightly.
  4. 9:20“Same time next Tuesday.” Then Margaret writes the note.
Margaret, mid-call. Runs silent.
A narrow hallway at night: a strip of warm light under a closed door, a nightlight at skirting height, a walking stick against the wall.

There is no eye.

  • No cameras
  • No microphones
  • No recordings
  • Nothing worn

Movement, doors and appliances only. The system knows the kettle boiled at ten past seven. It does not know, and cannot know, what she looks like or what she said.

What you see, four hundred kilometres away.

Live status, weekly trends, and the note Margaret wrote after the call — the part families actually read.

Weekly trends

Tuesday · after the call

“In good spirits. The knee is better on the stairs. She’s out of the big teabags and doesn’t want to bother anyone — might be a nice thing to bring Saturday.

Same time next Tuesday.”

The call note

What we will never claim.

Prevents falls.

Nothing prevents falls. We notice the weeks in which a fall becomes more likely, and somebody telephones.

Peace of mind.

We offer something more specific: a named person who calls her every Tuesday, and calls you when a pattern breaks.

Clinically proven.

Not yet, and we will not say otherwise until it is. We publish what we find, including what doesn’t work.

Set and forget.

The opposite. The point is that someone keeps paying attention — the same someone, every week.

Common questions.

What is Home Safe Home?

Home Safe Home is an elderly care service that learns the ordinary weekly rhythm of an older person’s home using eight ambient sensors, then has a named human agent telephone her when that rhythm changes. There are no cameras, no microphones, and nothing to wear.

Does Home Safe Home use cameras or microphones?

No. The system uses movement, door and appliance sensors only. It knows the kettle boiled at ten past seven. It does not know, and cannot know, what she looks like or what she said.

Does she have to wear anything?

No. Nothing is worn and nothing needs charging. That is the central difference from a pendant alarm, which only works if she is wearing it and able to press it.

What sensors are installed?

Eight sensors in a one-bedroom flat: a kettle plug, a fridge door contact, a bed sensor, bedroom motion, hall motion, bathroom motion, a front door contact, and living room motion. Larger homes take up to ten.

Who makes the weekly call?

The same named agent every week, at the same hour, in her own language, for about ten minutes. After the call the agent writes a note that the family reads in the app.

What happens when the pattern breaks?

The named agent telephones her, and the family is alerted in the app. A certified alarm centre handles genuine emergencies, day and night.

How much does Home Safe Home cost?

Three plans: Aware at €109 per month, Connected at €199 per month, and Complete at €369 per month. Paid yearly, two months are free: €1.090, €1.990 and €3.690 a year. Setup and installation is a one-off €409, carried out in person. All prices include 23% VAT.

Is Home Safe Home clinically proven?

No, and we do not claim to be. We publish what we find, including what does not work. We do not claim to prevent falls; we notice the weeks in which a fall becomes more likely, and somebody telephones.

The first step

Start with a walkthrough.

Forty minutes, at her home or on a call. We look at the rooms, the routine, and the week as it actually runs — then tell you plainly whether this would help.
